TECNO Goes A Step Up, Partners With Blackberry On BBM For Android Application

Innovation is a foliage for those who look its direction. This truism applies to what TECNO, phone makers just did by buying to the market crave. Its a step in the right direction I must observe.

Now, as TECNO continue to prove itself as one of the leading smartphones brand, it has announced its partnership with Blackberry on the BBM mobile application. Tecno Phones run on the prestigious Android OS which has already conquered the heart of most smartphone users in the world. Blackberry messenger was initially only available on Blackberry phones which is also very prominent especially in the Nigerian market, “Everybody has a BB pin”… Well, now BBM is available on the android system and customers can enjoy even more features with this new version, some of those listed below:

Etisalat Complete BlackBerry Plan Now Accommodates 10 Email Addresses.

I got a mail from ETISALAT Nigeria blackberry a few days ago stating that, the new service plan supports up to 11 email addresses which includes any of yahoo, gmail or the other email service providers and a blackberry email address. I gave it a try and it worked. Now I can have all my emails from multiple accounts pushed into my blackberry mailbox. That's a nice one from them.

Attached is a screenshot of the message. Its tested and confirmed.

Things To Watch Out For When Buying A Tokunbo Car.

The following are the very important things that must be rigourously observed when you presumably an average person without any form of technical automotive knowledge wants to buy an automobile.

1.Don't let the aesthetic, that's the shimmering or sexy look of the car fool you. Usually, vehicles prepared for sale are deliberately burnished to glimmer.

2.Be very observant, immediately you turn the key on(just simply by turning the key one stroke, no cranking sound yet and the engine isn't working yet), make sure that all the images on the dashboard are lighted up. Why? Some Smart Alec car sellers sometimes remove or tape over the bulbs, inside the dashboard, of the warning signs.

Facebook VS Google: FaceOff Battle To Acquire Whatsapp

An article by DigitalTrend this morning suggests Google has offered $1 Billion to buy Whatsapp. This is the second of such news in recent times when TechCrunch published that Facebook is negotiating with Whatsapp to buy the popular cross-platform mobile instant messenger. This is just a rumor as none of the parties have made any official statement to this regards.

Report has it that Whatsapp is holding out for more than $1 Billion for this deal, if this deal goes through it will be the second of its nature after Facebook acquired Instagram for $1 Billion in 2012. Whatsapp may have become the internet battleground if Facebook and Google are actually bidding to acquire this app.

Which of Facebook or Google will you prefer to acquire this amazing app? Are you undecided like me? I will like to see Whatsapp remain by itself and serve its purpose as it has been than falling into the hands of these “evil geniuses” who will only acquire it to exploit its market value.

Footnote:
If Facebook acquires it, it will definitely integrate it into their services and since they are known not to respect privacy policy, i wont be surprised if your Facebook friend who doesn't have your number starts sending you messages cos Facebook allows such....and as for Google, those guys are trying to monopolize the internet. Just look at how they determine who is relevant or not with their search engine updates as they like, i wonder if they wont retire this service like they re retiring so many like meebo, feedburner etc

Pros & Cons Of Mobile Number Portability In Nigeria

Disclaimer: Please, this is a personal submission over the behaviours of mobile phone network operators in Nigeria, therefore, don't crucify me for saying my mind. Thank you.

MNP is the acronym for Mobile Number Portability. Every Nigerian knows that the telecoms regulator in Nigeria, the NCC have long been promising MNP to Nigerians for a long time now. The more Nigerians expected this process to begin within the telecoms operators in Nigeria, the more it appears that it can never be possible.

The Consumers Sneer As MTN Launches 5MB For N5 Plan

Seems the News mill and all things MTN related, on how they waggle the Nigerian consumer market is unending. Just a fews back, they rolled time on their Blackberry MTN subscription. Before then, internet access on their blackberry portal was unlimited, thereby providing Nigerians with a cheap internet data plan that can serve them so well on their palms. But alas! Everyone woke up to the unbelievable reality of the odious data cap they placed on the various bundle plans. It was so laughable, and believe me, MTN really lost their mind on that.

Now, here comes another laughable offer!

Is MTN making Internet browsing more cheaper?

Decided to Post this about MTN 5MB Daily Internet Bundle..

Just dial *406*1# for 5MB which costs 5 naira/per day only.
